The last year of her life, after a series of strokes, my mother wasn’t really able to speak any more. On top of that she had loads of hallucinations. After each visit, I wrote down everything she had said to me. I combined her phrases to a kind of surreal story, or poem if you want.

Her nightmares also inspired me to the photocollage ‘The End‘.
